No-Tillage Promotes Wheat Seedling Growth and Grain Yield Compared with Plow–Rotary Tillage in a Rice–Wheat Rotation in the High Rainfall Region in China

چکیده

Optimizing soil properties to match ecological conditions can alleviate stress damage and promote crop growth. However, the suitable for wheat growth in an integrated rice–wheat breeding scheme under high rainfall mechanisms that affect yield production are not well known. Field experiments were carried out at two sites, which all located Jiangsu Province, China, a subtropical monsoon climate zone during growing seasons, assess effects of plow tillage followed by rotary (PR) no-tillage (NT) on physical chemical properties, seedling growth, grain yield, spike amounts quality. The finding indicates with reduction mixing, bulk density was higher NT than PR, helped maintain moisture dry soil. In soils water content, NT, when field subjected waterlogging stress, drainage decreased deeper possibly due reduced infiltration evaporation surface water. diurnal variation temperature cold, insulate 0–25 cm. Compared contents available nitrogen phosphorus increased 0–20 cm NT. Root biomass root activity seedlings also greater PR. had more culms beginning overwintering stage, spikes, but differences significant excessive moisture. Therefore, hydrothermal environment spatial distributions nutrients promoted shallow tiller development early phase led spikes per plant resulted high-yielding crops.

Tillage effects on energy use and greenhouse gas emission in wheat-cotton rotation

Crop production process utilizes input energy and produces some biomass energy as output.  During this process, greenhouse gases (GHGs) are also emitted which can make environmental risks. In this study, input and output energies, energy indices, and GHG emissions arising from inputs were estimated for wheat-cotton rotation under different tillage practices in Fars province. The study was condu...

RICE CULTURE The Effect of Rotation, Tillage, Fertility, and Variety on Rice Grain Yield

Average grain yield for the full-season varieties, over all treatment combinations, was 165 bu/acre. This average was impacted primarily by variety differences with ‘Wells’ averaging 180 bu/acre and ‘Cybonnet’ averaging 152 bu/acre. There were no significant differences between rotation, tillage, or fertility main-effect treatments. Summaries of grain yields for the main effect of tillage indic...
